Product Details
Ammonium Ferric Sulphate, also called Ferric Ammonium Sulphate, is a pale violet or colorless crystalline salt. It is a double salt of iron(III) sulfate and ammonium sulfate and typically exists as a dodecahydrate (NH₄Fe(SO₄)₂·12H₂O).
This compound is widely used as a laboratory reagent, especially as a primary standard in redox titrations, oxidizing agent, and in analytical chemistry for detecting metal ions. Its slightly acidic aqueous solutions and high solubility in water make it ideal for titrations and other quantitative analyses.
