Ammonium Ferrous Sulphate 98.5%, commonly known as Ferrous Ammonium Sulphate or Mohr’s Salt, with the chemical formula (NH₄)₂Fe(SO₄)₂·6H₂O, is a double salt of ferrous sulphate and ammonium sulphate. It is typically available as pale green to bluish-green crystalline solid.

With a purity of around 98.5%, this grade is suitable for industrial, laboratory, and general chemical applications where slightly lower purity than AR grade is acceptable.

This compound is readily soluble in water, forming a slightly acidic solution, and is valued for its enhanced stability of ferrous ions (Fe²⁺). The presence of ammonium sulphate helps reduce oxidation to ferric (Fe³⁺) form, making it more stable than simple ferrous salts.
