Zinc Nitrate Hexahydrate LR 96-103%

Zinc Nitrate Hexahydrate LR (96–103%) is a high-purity laboratory reagent grade inorganic compound with the chemical formula Zn(NO₃)₂·6H₂O. It appears as colorless to white crystalline solid and is highly hygroscopic (deliquescent), readily absorbing moisture from the air and dissolving in it.

This compound is highly soluble in water and alcohol, forming clear solutions, and acts as a strong oxidizing agent due to the presence of nitrate ions. It decomposes upon heating to produce zinc oxide, nitrogen oxides, and oxygen gases.

Zinc nitrate hexahydrate is widely used in analytical chemistry, laboratory synthesis, catalysts preparation, mordants in dyeing, and as a precursor for zinc-based materials. It is also utilized in the preparation of ceramics, coatings, and catalysts.
