Calcium Chloride (Anhydrous) 90% (CaCl₂) is a highly concentrated, water-free inorganic salt supplied as white pellets, granules, or flakes. The product contains approximately 90% calcium chloride, with the balance consisting of minor impurities or residual moisture.

It is extremely hygroscopic and deliquescent, meaning it readily absorbs moisture from the atmosphere and can liquefy upon prolonged exposure. This strong moisture affinity makes it an effective desiccant and drying agent. When dissolved in water, calcium chloride releases a significant amount of heat, exhibiting highly exothermic dissolution.

Calcium chloride anhydrous is highly soluble in water, alcohol, and acetone, forming clear solutions. It is widely used in de-icing, dust control, refrigeration brines, oil and gas drilling fluids, concrete acceleration, and moisture control applications. It is also used in chemical processing, food applications (in controlled grades), and water treatment.

The material is chemically stable under dry conditions but must be stored in airtight, moisture-proof containers to prevent caking or liquefaction. Exposure to humidity should be avoided.

While generally safe for industrial use, calcium chloride may cause irritation to skin, eyes, and respiratory tract, and appropriate protective equipment should be used during handling.
