Calcium Chloride Dihydrate

Calcium Chloride Dihydrate (Fused) 98% is a high-purity inorganic salt with the chemical formula CaCl₂·2H₂O, typically supplied in the form of white to off-white fused flakes, granules, or lumps. It is highly hygroscopic and deliquescent, meaning it readily absorbs moisture from the atmosphere and can dissolve in its own absorbed water.

This product is produced through a fusion process, resulting in a dense, free-flowing material with low impurities and consistent composition. With a purity of approximately 98%, it is widely used in industrial, laboratory, and commercial applications.

Calcium chloride dihydrate is highly soluble in water, forming clear solutions with an exothermic heat of dissolution, making it effective in applications such as de-icing, dust control, refrigeration brines, and moisture absorption. It is also used in oil and gas drilling fluids, concrete acceleration, food processing (as a firming agent), and water treatment.
