Magnesium Oxide Heavy Powder

Magnesium Oxide Heavy 98% is a high-purity, dense, white inorganic powder composed primarily of magnesium oxide (MgO). Unlike light magnesium oxide, the heavy grade is characterized by its higher bulk density, lower surface area, and reduced reactivity, making it suitable for applications requiring controlled reactivity and improved stability. It is odorless, tasteless, and practically insoluble in water, but slowly reacts with moisture and acids to form magnesium hydroxide or soluble magnesium salts.

With a purity of approximately 98% MgO, this material is widely used in refractory applications, ceramics, rubber processing, and chemical industries as a filler, neutralizing agent, and heat-resistant material. It also finds use in pharmaceuticals as an antacid and magnesium supplement due to its alkaline nature.
