Zinc Sulphide 98%

Zinc Sulphide 98% is a high-purity, white to off-white inorganic compound with the chemical formula ZnS, commonly used as a pigment and luminescent material. It occurs in two crystalline forms—sphalerite (cubic) and wurtzite (hexagonal)—both of which exhibit excellent optical and chemical properties.

This compound is insoluble in water but dissolves in strong acids with the release of hydrogen sulfide gas. It is widely known for its ability to exhibit phosphorescence when activated with trace elements, making it useful in glow-in-the-dark materials, display screens, and fluorescent applications.

Zinc sulphide is extensively used in paints, coatings, plastics, rubber, ceramics, and optical applications due to its high refractive index, chemical stability, and opacity.
